Responsibilities
Author and maintain comprehensive API documentation, SDK guides, and developer tutorials
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand complex technical features and translate them into clear documentation
Develop and enforce documentation style guides, templates, and information architecture standards
Create interactive code samples, quickstart guides, and integration walkthroughs for developer audiences
Manage documentation versioning, release notes, and changelog processes aligned with product releases
Conduct documentation usability testing and analyze metrics to improve content quality and discoverability
Requirements
3+ years of technical writing experience focused on software documentation, preferably API or developer docs
Strong understanding of REST APIs, authentication flows, and software development concepts
Proficiency with docs-as-code tooling (Markdown, Git, static site generators like Docusaurus or MkDocs)
Ability to read and understand code in at least one programming language (JavaScript, Python, or similar)
Excellent command of English with strong editing and information design skills
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field
Nice to Have
Experience with OpenAPI/Swagger specification authoring
Background in UX writing or content design
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated documentation publishing
