Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Python and SQL
Develop ETL workflows to ingest data from diverse sources into the data warehouse
Optimize query performance and data storage across PostgreSQL and cloud data stores
Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to model data for business insights
Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting for production pipelines
Document data architecture, lineage, and transformation logic for cross-team visibility

Requirements

3-5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or backend development
Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, PySpark, or similar) and advanced SQL
Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) data services
Working knowledge of workflow orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modeling
Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices for data projects

Nice to Have

Experience with Apache Spark or Databricks
Knowledge of dbt for data transformations
Exposure to streaming data with Kafka or Kinesis
