Responsibilities
Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with company goals, scaling teams from 50+ to 200+ engineers across product and services verticals
Establish engineering best practices including architecture review boards, code quality standards, CI/CD maturity models, and incident management frameworks
Own the engineering budget, headcount planning, and vendor relationships to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining world-class delivery timelines
Partner with the CEO, CTO, and product leadership to translate business objectives into technical roadmaps with measurable OKRs and KPIs
Build a high-performance engineering culture through structured hiring pipelines, mentorship programs, career ladders, and retention strategies
Drive cross-functional initiatives including platform modernization, microservices adoption, and DevOps transformation to improve release velocity by 3x
Requirements
15+ years of progressive software engineering experience with at least 5 years in VP or Senior Director roles managing 50+ engineers
Proven track record of scaling engineering organizations in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or technology consulting environments
Deep expertise in modern tech stacks including cloud-native architectures, microservices, containerization, and distributed systems
Strong experience with Agile at scale (SAFe, LeSS, or custom frameworks) and engineering metrics (DORA, cycle time, defect density)
Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent in competitive markets like Hyderabad
MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from a top-tier institution preferred
Nice to Have
Experience leading engineering teams that serve both product development and client services delivery simultaneously
Background in AI/ML product development or data-intensive platforms
Prior experience taking a product from 0-to-1 and scaling it to millions of users
