Responsibilities
Design and document AWS cloud architectures for enterprise applications following Well-Architected Framework principles
Lead cloud-native application design using serverless, containers, and managed services for optimal scalability
Establish multi-account AWS organization strategy with proper security boundaries and consolidated billing
Define and enforce cloud governance policies including tagging standards, cost allocation, and compliance controls
Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to development teams on AWS best practices
Drive adoption of advanced AWS services including Step Functions, EventBridge, and Aurora Serverless v2
Requirements
7-10 years of cloud engineering experience with at least 5 years focused on AWS architecture
AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise
Deep knowledge of AWS networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Route 53) and security services
Experience designing distributed systems with event-driven architectures and microservices patterns
Strong understanding of disaster recovery strategies, RPO/RTO planning, and multi-region deployments
Ability to communicate complex technical architectures to both engineering teams and business stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS Control Tower and Landing Zone configurations
Knowledge of FinOps principles and AWS cost optimization strategies
Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001
