Embedded Systems Engineer

Design and develop embedded systems and IoT solutions for industrial automation at APPIT Software in Berlin.

Responsibilities

Design and develop firmware for embedded systems and IoT devices
Implement communication protocols (MQTT, CoAP, BLE)
Develop device drivers and hardware abstraction layers
Optimize code for memory and power-constrained environments
Integrate embedded systems with cloud platforms
Write unit tests and conduct hardware-in-the-loop testing

Requirements

5+ years of embedded systems development experience
Strong C/C++ programming skills
Experience with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers
Knowledge of RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr)
Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN)
Understanding of PCB design and hardware debugging

Nice to Have

Experience with Rust for embedded
Knowledge of edge AI frameworks
Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA)
