SAP Project Manager

Job Description

The SAP Project Manager will lead and oversee SAP implementation, upgrade or support projects. Responsible for planning, executing and closing projects within scope, time and budget while ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing SAP projects (implementation, upgrade, roll-out) in a multinational environment.
• Strong project management credentials (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership and team management skills.
• Good understanding of SAP solutions (preferably S/4HANA or ECC) and business process implications.
• Ability to manage hybrid delivery models (on-site + remote) and multiple work-streams simultaneously.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders and IT leadership.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations and track progress against milestones.
• Manage cross-functional project teams (SAP consultants, functional leads, technical teams, vendors) to deliver project outcomes.
• Identify project risks, issues, dependencies and implement mitigation or escalation as appropriate.
• Ensure adherence to project governance, methodologies (Agile/Waterfall), quality standards and change control.
• Manage stakeholder communication: status reports, steering committees, executive updates, and issue resolution.
• Oversee project delivery, ensure business readiness, training & change management as part of go-live and post-go-live support.
• Monitor project financials (costs, billing, budget vs actual) and scope changes.
