OutSystems Developer

Job Description

The OutSystems Developer will design, develop, deploy and maintain enterprise web/mobile applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. They will collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and other technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements, integrate with existing systems, and follow best-practices in architecture, performance and security.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with OutSystems (building applications on the platform) – ideally 2-5 years or more depending on seniority.
• Solid understanding of web/mobile development basics: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL/DB concepts.
• Ability to integrate with external systems via APIs (REST/SOAP) and experience in backend logic and data models.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD processes, and deployment.
• Analytical mindset, good problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional & technical design for OutSystems applications.
• Develop and implement modules within OutSystems (web, mobile), including UI screens, business logic, integrations (REST APIs, external systems) and database connectivity.
• Maintain, support and optimise existing OutSystems applications to ensure performance, scalability, stability and maintainability.
• Conduct code reviews, adhere to coding standards and best practices for low-code development, version control, deployment pipelines.
• Work with DevOps/CI/CD teams to deploy applications, ensure environment consistency and streamline release processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as business analysts, QA/testers, UX/UI designers, infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, apply fixes and improvements.
• Document technical designs, application architecture, integration flows and support hand-over.
• Stay up-to-date with OutSystems platform updates, low-code trends and apply them as needed.
